I steve. I am trying to use Agisoft metashape to reconstruct 3d buildings. for some reason when I import the model in rhino the texture does not display as good. it actually looks really bad. I have here 2 examples one screen capture inside the agisoft software and other when I import the file into rhino and it looks really bad. I dont understand why.

I tried model made from photos and videos, and exported video only (no exif in agisoft so uncalibrated camera). Frames exported as TIF with LZW compression. First of all backgrounds are not imported at all. When I have add corresponding frame to the image I saw that model is not in the right place. I thought that was poor alignment at the beginning (first project described above) but I have checked another one that is prepared 100% correctly.

I have always wanted to ask why users opinion with Pix4D would still remove some points that it thinks are noise even though noise filter is turned off. I find point cloud files generated with Pix4D are of lower quality that those generated using Agisoft photoscan, there are unwanted holes/gaps for points generated with Pix4D while Agisoft photoscan give nice and continuous point clouds, why is that?

Agisoft have recently released an upgrade to their photoscan software, which is the main photogrammetry software that we use due to the level of control that it gives us within the production of our 3D models. We have found that other types of software rely too much on the production of a texture to make the final model realistic.
