வெட்ட வெளியினில் விந்தை நிறங்களில்
வீசிடும் ஈர்ப்பும் பொழிவுகளைக்
கொட்டிக் கிடக்கிற கொள்ளை அழகினைக்
கூடையில் வார முடிந்திடுமா?
தொட்டுத் தடவிடும் சொர்க்க சுகத்தினைச்
சொல்லிடும் வார்த்தை சுமந்திடுமா
பொட்டு மலரினில் வெட்டி அமைந்துள
பூரண வித்தைக் கதிபதி யார்?
இயற்கையின் அற்புத த்தை என்னவென்று சொல்வது. இத்துணூண்டு மலர். அந்த மலரில் வெட்டிவிடப்பட்ட ஒழுங்காக அடுத்தடுத்து அழகாக அடுக்கிவைக்கப்பட்ட இதழ்கள். என்ன ஒழுங்கு. இதை வடிவமைத்து யார், வனைந்தது. நமக்கு விந்தை. வடிவமைத்தவருக்கு அது ஒரு விளையாட்டு. பட த்தில் பெரிதாகத் தெரிகிறது. ஒவ்வொரு மலரும் அரை செண்டிமீண்டர் அளவுகூட இல்லை. ஒவ்வொன்றிலும் 26 இதழ்கள். இப்படிப் பலவண்ண மலர்கள். இது ஒரு மாதிரி அவ்வளவே!

   கூட்டி வாரியொர் சித்திரமாய்
எட்டி இருக்கிற எமக்கும் அளித்திட
   எம்முன் சிரித்தன நித்திலமாய்!
மொட்டைத் தலையென மொட்டை அமைத்தவன்
   முறுவல் முகமென மலர்த்துகிறான்!
சிட்டிக் கலைஞனின் சேட்டம் அறிந்திடச்
   சீவன் எவர்க்கெனுஞ் சாத்தியமோ?
