8. அண்ணாமலை வளர் நெடுதீயாய்…

வாணிவரன் வேணுதரன் நாணயிவர் காணவெழு வாணன்வளர்தீத்

தூணிலுறை நீணெடிய தாணுவுரு பூணுமரன் சோணகிரிவாழ்

ஆணனிரு பாணமெதிர்  தூணெரியும் வீணனென தாணவமலம்

வேணிபுய மாணனவன் தாணினையு மாணொழுக வேணுமகமே

பதம்பிரித்த வடிவம்:

வாணிவரன் வேணுதரன் நாணயிவர் காணவெழு வாணன்வளர்தீத்

தூணிலுறை நீள்நெடிய தாணுவுரு பூணும்அரன் சோணகிரிவாழ்

ஆணன் இரு பாணம் எதிர்  தூள் நெரியும் வீணனெனது ஆணவமலம்

வேணிபுய மாணன் அவன் தாள் நினையு மாணொழுக வேணுமகமே

[வாணிவரன் - Lord Brahma வேணுதரன் - Lord who wears the flute, Vishnu வாணன் - Lord Shiva தாணு - Column (of fire) or mountain பூணுதல் - Wear ஆணன் - One who is the great purusha or ruler நெரிதல் - break into pieces ஆணவமலம் -  Ego,  வேணி - root  புயத்தல் - to pluck or pull out தாணினையு = தாள்+நினையு(ம்), மாண் - Greatness]

வாணியின் வரனான பிரம்மாவும், வேணுகோபாலனான விஷ்ணுவும் ஆணவமழிய, நாண, நெடிது வளர்ந்த அம்பலவாணன் தீயினாலான தூணாய் அடிமுடியின்றி தாணுவுரு பூண்டான். அந்த அரனது சோணகிரியில் வாழும் ஆணன் (எம்பெருமான் ரமணன்) தன் இரு கண்மலர் பாணங்களைச் செலுத்த, அவற்றின் எதிரில் தூள் தூளாய் நெரியும் வீணணாகிய எனது ஆணவமலம். இருந்தும் அந்த ஆணவத்தினை வேரோடு பிடுங்கி எறிய அந்த மாண்புக்குரிய குரு ரமணரின் தாளை நினைக்கும் மாண்பை ஒழுக வேண்டும் என் அகமே!

The groom of goddess Vani, i.e. Lord Brahma and the Lord who carries the flute, i.e. Lord Krishna (or Vishnu) watched in shame as their egos were crushed by the ever-rising column of fire, i.e., the infinite form of Lord Ambala Vanan. He is none other than our Lord who lives in Sona Giri, the great purusha, i.e., Lord Ramana, who assumed out of his compassion, this infinite pillar form of fire. In front of His piercing arrow like two eyes, my impure ego will break into pieces and disintegrate. In order to pluck out its root, please remember the feet of the noble guru and practice that noble discipline without fail, Oh my heart!

Yes. வாணன் - வசிப்பவன் என்ற அர்த்தத்தில் வருகிறது.. நீங்கள் சொல்வது சரி, தனியாக வாணன் என்பதற்குப் பதிலாக "அவை வாணன்" என்று சபையில் வசிக்கும் நடராஜரைக் குறிக்கும்படி மாற்றியிருக்கிறேன்.

தூண் & தாணு - ஒரே பொருளோ? 

ஒரே பொருளுமுள்ளது, தாணு என்ற வடமொழிப் பதத்திற்கு மலை, தூண் என்ற இருபொருள்கள் உள்ளன. இங்கே மலை என்று கொள்ளலாம்.

Are there any literary references for such usage?

From Tamil lexicon,

1. வேணி - Root; மரவேர்.
2. புயத்தல் - To pluck, pull out; பெயர்த்தல்.
3. மாணம் māṇam , n. மாண்². Greatness, excellence;  மாணன் - One who is great.
