    அல்லில் முயங்கித் தனையிழக்கும்

இந்த நதியின் நீரலைகள்

    ஏதோ சொல்லிச் சலசலக்கும்

சிந்தும் குழலின் தேனமுதம்

    திசைகள் தோறும்  சென்றொலிக்கும்

நந்தன் மகனே, கோபாலா!

    நண்ணி வாவென் மனம்களிக்கும்!
