Sad news

[Surya Janakiraman]

I am deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of V. Subramanian’s (Siva Siva’s) father at the age of 91 (he would have turned 92 in a couple of months). He passed away peacefully at 8:45 PM on Saturday in Chennai, with Siva Siva by his side at the time of his passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with Siva Siva and his family during this time of profound loss.

Deeply saddened by the death of Thiru Sivasivaa’s father. Though I went to see Thiru. Sivasivaa on Dec 9 at his residence in Chennai, I didn’t have the opportunity to see his father.

My heartfelt condolences to Thiru. Sivasivaa and his family. May the Almighty give them strength of mind to overcome this loss.

Even if one has not previously registered to donate their eyes, the next of kin can decide after one’s death.

Typically, those in grief do not think about eye donation, etc. Anyone who is aware of this eye donation possibility can remind the next of kin about such a donation - soon after they learn about the death. Typically, the eye donation has to be done within a few hours after a person's death. 

One can call a big eye hospital - and the operator will help.
