தீபாவளி 

கங்கைநீர் ஆடிக்    களிகொள்ளும் பாவனையில் 

அங்கம்எண்ணெய் பூசி அதிகாலை - தங்கள்இல்லில்

நீராடி, கோயிலிலே

நின்று வணங்குபக்தர்

மார்மகிழும் தீபா வளி!

வகைவகையாய் உண்டி வளைக்கைநள பாகம்!

வகைசுவைத்தல் மாந்தர்வாய் பாகம்! - மிகையானால்

இல்லார்க்(கு) இனிதளிக்கும் ஈகை(!) தொடங்குகிற

வல்லமைசேர் தீபா வளி!

"இடிமின்னல் 

சேர்மழையாய் இன்பம் தருமோ

வெடி"என்றால் அல்ல விடையும்! - வெடியால்

கொசுவொழி(ளி)யும்(!)

தீயசக்தி கொட்டம்போம்(!),நம்மை

வசீகரிக்கும் தீபா வளி!
