   இன்று  முகில்கள் கறுக்கவில்லை;

   ஏனோ    வரியாய் முகிழ்க்கவில்லை!

 கன்று  மடியை  முட்டுமாற்போல்,

 கதறிக்  கதறி  முட்டுகின்றேன்!

.

இன்னும்  ஓர் கவி   பிறக்கவில்லை!

என்ன  தடையோ  தெரியவில்லை!

மின்னல் முடங்க  ஒருசதியோ?

மேலைக் காற்று தடுக்கிறதோ?

.

 கன்னல்  சரியாய்  வளரலையோ?

கருணை மண்ணுக் கின்றிலையோ?

பென்னம் பெரிய   தேவியுமே

பெரீய  கண்ணைச்  சாற்றலையோ?

.

என்றன் ஸாயீ  நீ  சொல்லேன்!

ஏதோ ஒற்றைவிரல்  நீட்டேன்!

நின்றன்கண்ணில்  ஒளிகண்டால்

நிமிடப்போது   போதாதோ?.
