今月のアクティビティルームのテーマは、七夕とお盆です。そうめんを食べながら、七夕
の意味や歌、その他の風習とともに、お盆の習慣について学びましょう。時間が許せば、
盆踊りの練習もいたしますので、ぜひご参加ください。
The July Japan Activity Room will be held on Saturday, July 6th, 2014 from 1 to
5 PM at the Nest, 1625 Jay Street in Santa Fe. We will be celebrating Tanabata,
the July 7 star festival, and learn about Obon, the Bon Festival. We will sing
a Tanabata song and make wishes and talk about what “Bon” is in Japan while
eating cold somen noodles. If we have time, we will practice Bon Odori, a
Japanese folk dance performed during the Bon period.
