Looking to hire someone to help us customize our self hosted SugarCRM Pro account for our business. We know what we need it to do, and the fields we need to be tracking, and we started tweaking it ourselves, but we need someone who isn't "learning as they go" to dive in here and make it all work.

If this is you and you have the cycles for some extra work, let me know ASAP.

Are there seriously no experienced SugarCRM / SugarLogic developers in
our community here?

I am becoming increasingly baffled how hard it is to find anyone who
knows what they're doing to customize SugarCRM!

Do you need a "SugarCRM developer" or would a "PHP developer with a strong grasp of MVC concepts" work out?

There might be more of the latter around. "Learning as they go" is not the same process for all people. Some folks do it quickly and efficiently (because they've learned about many other technologies before) while others are still learning how to learn.

Maybe a little more focus on the person and a little less on the resume bullet points would help. Just a suggestion. Then again, it's also possible that I'm underestimating the complexity of SugarCRM customization and it really does require a SugarCRM expert. If that's the case, I'd suggest considering the "Partners" section of the SugarCRM website. If you're willing to pay market rate, I'd be pretty surprised if there's nobody out there that can help.

I was and sort of still am experienced in SugarCRM. My issue is available time. Also, what I have been working has been the community version which is neutered.

My experience between Sugar and Salesforce, Salesforce is way more open and friendly to use in today's day.
