Abstract
Consultants and small enterprises contracted to develop and deliver software and other products of intellectual activity are frequently directed by their principal or primary contractor to do so in collaboration with other parties. Yet typically little thought is given to the establishment and management of intellectual property rights generated in such collaborations. This seminar includes a morning review of the basics of intellectual property rights and licensing and an afternoon analysis of business and human factors that drive, or impede, success in collaboration.
Who Should Attend
Entrepreneurs, consultants, small enterprise managers, business strategists and attorneys with small firm clients who generate intellectual property. Three general CA MCLE credits are available for attendance of the morning session.
