A lay persons guide to the ins and outs of installing from scratch an Operating System (such as, but not limited to, Windows, Linux, MacOS). Get to know your computer, and what those funny words like memory, processor, kernel, shell, GUI, and others mean! Free yourself from Micro$oft's tyranny! Use commodity computer equipment and still be a power user! Hands on demo will be available! No prerequisites or requirements.

"We'll be installing Debian Linux on machines, I'll be providing what I can (laptop or desktop wise), but feel free to bring your own machine and a usb memory stick, and we can install linux on that for you! Are there any specific questions that I can prepare specific and specialized answers for? Please feel free to email and let me know! The only dumb questions are the ones we don't ask! (or the ones we already were given the answers to, but were too lazy to figure out a way to remember)."See you there!
