Robert "Moose" Hill has shuffled off his mortal coil and gone to the
great prairie in the sky.

A great patron of the prairie he was, and will be missed by many.

The man was on the scene before the scene even became the scene

Robert M. "Moose" Hill, loving brother of Arthur W. and the late
George (late Patricia); dear uncle of Crystle, Johnson, George II
"Gus", John, Paul, Thomas, Barbara Dulski and William; great uncle of
many. Attended the original Nathan Hale Elementary School at 62nd and
Linder Ave., now a part of the Midway Airport. Graduated from Lindblom
Tech. High School. Four years in the R.O.T.C where he rose to become a
Cadet Major and Battalion Commander. Attended the University of
Illinois at Chicago (Navy Pier). Became a journeyman plumber for
George Hill Company. Was a member of The Chicago Aquaventurers skin
diving club. Served two years in the U.S. Army. Historian and Author
of a book on the History of Clearing, IL. He was a member of the
Masons. Hobbies include making miniature models and painting miniature
soldiers from ancient history to modern times. He was in later years
associated with The I & M Canal National Heritage Corridor as well as
the Caboose at the Sante Fe Prairie. He was active in many community
affairs such as the Clearing Civic League. Resting at Central Funeral
Chapel, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, IL. Visitation Monday, April
19, 2 to 9 p.m. Funeral Tuesday 11 a.m. at Chapel. Interment Fairmont
Willow Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American
Cancer Society . Funeral Info: 773-581-9000.
