      You Can Sing!

The World Harmony Chorus spring session starts up in Palo Alto, Berkeley, and Santa Cruz the week of Sep 30, with a repertoire of music from around the world.  We'll be singing songs from Argentina, Republic of Georgia, Egypt, and many places in-between.

We rehearse indoors in a large, well-ventilated room.  Masks are optional.
Details below.

There are no auditions and no singing experience is necessary (experienced singers are also welcome).  All parts are taught by ear, and musical transcriptions are provided.  All ages are welcome, though children under 9 might find it a bit daunting.

Here are some recent comments from chorus members:
"When we started singing Oy u Hayu, she immediately teared up. Her eyes
grew red, her face red, she sang with us. When you see that, that's when
you... sing to this person who wasn't expecting to be taken to the banks of
their beloved Dunayu from a street in Palo Alto.... The songs and the
words of the World that we sing hold much significance to the folks of the
     World, us and everyone."

"The repertoire [Daniel] brings to us with such enthusiasm and genius
musicality is a joy and a huge bolster of spirits. I have heard from my fellow
choristers how WHC helped them heal from the pain of death of a loved one,
a divorce, or was a warm and welcoming place for newcomers.  It's not just
about the singing; we are an international community, we learn about other
cultures, their poetry and music, we challenge ourselves with new languages,
form new friendships, share stories, books, movies and lots of laughter."

If you've never experienced the magic of singing in a choir, or if you've always thought of yourself as someone who "just can't sing", this is a great way to start.

Please join us for another fun and musical season!  Just show up at a rehearsal and check it out.

-Daniel
