Wine Tasting Event Featuring Amy Whiteford & Chris Hussey, Our Lady of Guadalupe

When: Tue May 12, 2026 at 05:30 PM to Tue May 12, 2026 at 07:30 PM
Where: The Good Land Wine Shop & Bar 4177 State St, Santa Barbara, CA  93110, United States
Why:

In 2015, Dave Phinney (of The Prisoner and Orin Swift fame) set his eyes on an extreme property just outside the town of Lompoc. The abandoned row crop farm was on the western edge of the Sta. Rita Hills AVA, known for its sandy silica-rich diatomaceous earth soils and cool windy climate that produce Pinot Noir and Chardonnay unlike anywhere else.

After years of hard work planting the 133-acre Our Lady of Guadalupe vineyard, Dave and his team (Amy Whiteford and Chris Hussey) decided to start a new brand focused exclusively on producing Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The vineyard and wine are just known as 'OLG'. This is the only project where Dave makes wine from a vineyard he owns. These are stunning wines, guaranteed to expand your mind on what styles of wine are possible from the Sta. Rita Hills.

So come on by and meet Amy and Chris, have some local cheese and listen to live music by Vinny Berry...the Good Land provides!

$25 per person

Chocolate de Vine

When: Sat May 16, 2026 at 04:00 PM to Sat May 16, 2026 at 07:30 PM
Where: 1205 San Antonio Creek Rd, Santa Barbara, CA 93111, USA
Why:

Chocolate de Vine returns for an unforgettable evening of community, storytelling, and impact in support of STESA. This year’s theme, From Silence to Justice, highlights the power of courage, advocacy, and accountability in creating meaningful change. At a time when institutions across the country continue to face scrutiny for how they fail to protect those in their care, these conversations feel more urgent than ever. We are honored to welcome Timothy Hale, a Santa Barbara–based attorney whose work has contributed to landmark cases that have shaped national conversations around institutional accountability and survivor justice.
