I was talking to my friends at Island Seed and Feed, sponsors of the event and I wanted to see if any of the clubs where bringing bee information to this event.  More details about the event at https://www.facebook.com/events/1468989520037056/

The 7th Annual Santa Barbara Community Seed Swap takes place on Sunday, January, 25, 11am-3pm, at the downtown Santa Barbara Public Library, Faulkner Gallery, 40 E. Anapamu St, 93101.

I sure would love to see SBBA there!

I'll be there and would be happy to work the table of either SBBA or Beekeepers Guild SB for an hour.

It does not sound like there is a bee table at the seed swap yet.  I am going to contact Margie and spear head the effort to get a table.  I would love some help and I will let every one know if there is room.

I have confirmed that there is space and Margie has invited the bee community to put together a table.

The plan is to have a table with community resources for people who are interested in becoming beekeepers.  So far we have guild meetings, Tom's class, Andrew's class, and my equipments sale at Island Seed and Feed.  I am planning on bringing my Super Bee road show which includes a observation hive and beautiful photos from inside the hive.

What other things should we let the 400 people who are coming to the seed swap know about getting started in beekeeping?  I would also love to have several people help out during the event as many hands make light work.

I'll donate pollinator friendly seed if someone will commit to preparing them in little packets.

I can come at the beginning of the seed swap (11 am) and put the seed into packets while helping out at the booth.

Nick,

Let me know what time you have an opening that I can fill. I can put in an hour or two.

Thank you,

Tom Rem
