And the answer is that I did not conjugate the verb into 3rd person
singular. So it should be
पत्रं चलति

Ok, it's time for some brahman discussion. In this homework I wrote
"brAhman wanders" but per p.22 of Tyberg I should've written "brahman
wanders"

In fact, brAhman is not a sanskrit word -

Incorrect. Look at it this way the universe ब्रह्म does not 'wander' in any spatial sense at least based upon our current understanding of cosmology. A ब्राह्मणः, however, did wander about India, at least some of them did. Ditto for the peripatetic (look up the etymology of 'peripatetic') philosophers of ancient Greek and some Chinese philosophers too.

Yes, strikes, flashes इत्यादि - whatever fits the context of the paragraph, were there one to set the context! So much of translation is an art.
