Namaste ViSvAs,

Thank you for your reply.
I am sorry for the error. I have rectified it and the new version is now available at

I have not changed home/ambaji to $HOME, because, it is possible that the user wants to install the software in some other area, say at /var/ or /etc, etc.

regards,
Amba Kulkarni

I tried installing today, and ran into trouble when I type 'make'. It fails with the error:

Can't open kyoto2velthuis.pl: No such file or directory, <> line 601.

Also, it is probably a good idea to replace /home/ambaji in my_spec.txt with $HOME.

Why not sourceforge?
Sourceforge, as I understand, is dedicated to open source.

The ones I mentioned earlier are also popular for hosting open source software. Sourceforge is fine too - I did not mention it because it also offers SVN and CVS (very antiquated systems) for version control - my suggestion is that when you pick a host, you choose Mercurial or Git for revision control.

My main bottleneck is I do not have any expertise in packaging the system for distribution under any of the existing distributions such as Ubuntu etc.

Is there any body who would like to help me?

Not that I know of, unfortunately, but this might be helpful - https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PackagingGuide/Complete .

Thanks for being a pioneer!
