Love the PDF edition to MW. May I suggest that we could have these downloaded to our local device so that when we click on PDF the page will arrive even offline.

I just left you a review with the suggestion added.

Thanks for the feedback. Currently I see more disadvantages than advantages to including page images (size requirements, dict complexity), so I'll not take it up.

For context, this was the review -

Debutante in Sanskrit or versed scholar this is the #1 tool. Updated & found additional files a pleasant surprise. Defining Sanskrit words requires access to many texts. They're constantly adding new files. Couldn't be more pleased. Maybe I could, I found the PDFs from MW to be quite a nice addition. There's no reason the entire dictionary in PDF form couldn't be uploaded to our devices. Then click on PDF & we'd have access to the entire page offline. Please consider this valuable addition.

There can be so many forms of the dictionary for offline use. I feel, PDF form of the dictionary is the worst form. There will be Devanagari text or other non-Roman text, besides Roman text. This, if converted to PDF, either makes the non-Roman text 'distorted/changed' if done in Unicode. If it is done with legacy code, it does not get 'distorted' after making PDF. But searching in it is very difficult/impossible.

PDF is only good for printing the file on paper. It is much better to have the dictionary in simple text, DOC, html, epub, as excel/Calc file for offline use. They all provide excellent search facility, which is a great facility for dictionaries. Also, one can convert these files in a number of ways and styles. The dictionary itself can be modified, arranged in a different order etc.
