Dear all,

Happy to have joined this group. Really happy to be part of something great. So I joined because I have been thinking of a query long ago. So we are applying for a project to develop an ASR dataset for sanskrit and I am having difficulty in figuring out the ideal sources. Could you suggest an ideal source for an ASR dataset which would represent contemporary conversational spoken sanskrit? The intent is to analyse patterns of L2 interference, syntactic evolution, or diachronic shifts.

Dear Himanshu,

What is your specific application for this project? Is the goal to aid learning?

Please note that Bhashini also has a trained ASR model available.

I may be interested in partnering with you if the intent is to aid learning.
