Atom, which used to be a favorite simple git-enabled editor I used to recommend casual workers is being retired in favor of VSCode (which is actually good, barring some bug with handling of multiple accounts ). It's web version is very good. For example, I can go to
https://vscode.dev/github/vishvAsa/vedAH_yajuH/tree/content , edit, and commit+push directly to github. Seems simple for use by non-tech-savvy workers.
