Today is the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. On this occasion, let us all pay our respects to the father of our nation by following on his footsteps.

अहिंसा सत्यवचनं सर्वभूतानुकंपनं |

शमो दानं यथाशक्ति गार्हस्थ्यो धर्म उत्तमः ||

ahiṁsā satyavacanaṁ sarvabhūtānukaṁpanaṁ |

śamō dānaṁ yathāśakti gārhasthyō dharma uttamaḥ ||

Practicing non-violence, truthfulness, compassion towards all living beings, calmness and doing charitable work to the utmost of one’s ability, all these are the best form of all righteous deeds (dharma) for a householder.
