Today is Ganesha Chaturthi and marks the beginning of ten day long Lord Ganesha Festival. The festival celebrates Him as the God of good beginnings, prosperity and as an obstacle remover. On this occasion, I pray to Lord Ganesha.

May Lord Ganesha bless you with wisdom, intelligence, prosperity, happiness and success. May He remove all your obstacles.

गणपतिबाप्पा मोरया.

पार्वतीनन्दनं शम्भोरानन्दपरिवर्धनम् ।

भक्तानन्दकरं नित्यं मयूरेशं नमाम्यहम् ॥

pārvatīnandanaṃ śambhorānandaparivardhanam |

bhaktānandakaraṃ nityaṃ mayūreśaṃ namāmyaham ||

I constantly and eternally bow to that Mayūreśa – Lord Ganesha – who imparts happiness to Pārvatī in his role as her son, who increase the happiness of Lord Shiva and who makes all His devotees happy.
