कालः समविषमकरः परिभवसन्मानकारकः कालः ।
कालः करोति पुरुषं दातारं याचितारं च ॥
kālaḥ samaviṣamakaraḥ paribhavasanmānakārakaḥ kālaḥ |
kālaḥ karoti puruṣaṃ dātāraṃ yācitāraṃ ca ||
Time levels up and also creates ups and downs ; it brings defeat or reward to the people ; again, Time makes the people donors or beggars.
