कालक्षेपो न कर्तव्य आयुर्याति दिने दिने ।
निरीक्षते यमो राजा धर्मस्य विविधां गतिम् ॥
kālakṣepo na kartavya āyuryāti dine dine |
nirīkṣate yamo rājā dharmasya vividhāṃ gatim ||
One should never waste time, for the lifespan grows shorter day by day. And, the God of Death, Yama, watches whether (or not) our behaviour is consonant with dharma.
