काठिन्यं गिरिषु सदा मृदुता सलिले ध्रुवा प्रभा सूर्ये ।
वैरमसज्जनहृदये सज्जनहृदये पुनः क्षान्तिः ॥
kāṭhinyaṃ giriṣu sadā mṛdutā salile dhruvā prabhā sūrye |
vairamasajjanahṛdaye sajjanahṛdaye punaḥ kṣāntiḥ ||
Hardness in mountains is always certain, so also is softness in water and brilliance in the Sun ; thus there is hatred in the hearts of bad people, but in the minds of good people there is (always) peace.
