I was using yuzu to emulate my pokemon sword and I played until the 2nd ending and other dlc endings. Yesterday night I was playing pokemon sword as usual and I accidently opened yuzu twice, and qt plugin error had popped out. I ignored the error message and I could play the game normally. However when I tried to play yuzu today I could not open yuzu so I reinstalled the emulator looking up reddit. I found out that all I needed to reinstall was the plugin files (there was an alternative way to reinsall anyway but I found that after I reinstalled yuzu) and what I did was deleting system files and reinstall it. Therefore all my saves and information got cleared and I managed to recover some files by using data recovery program.
I tried to open the save file via pkhex to see if all my saves were reserved but I got the error message attempted to load an unsupported file type size. I searched about this error and realized that my save data was corrupted. Is there a way to fix my save? I don't think its the pkhex problem bc I could open my most recent backup main folder (the one I backedup after the 1st ending) and I could open my save file flawlessly before the troublesome recovery. I could neither open the game because when I launched the game it crashed only showing question marks, and I could say that the save file was corrupted. When I launched the game again, my game file was deleted.
Also is their a community that I can question problems with yuzu? I found out that I couldn't go through the opening in new super mario u deluxe which worked great before, but now crashes after the opening after the reinstallation and I need a place to question this also
I have encountered an error where it says "errors in currently selected datapacks prevented the world from loading" and it gives me two options, 'safe mode' and 'back to title screen', safe mode does absolutely nothing and will quote 'this world contains invalid or corrupted save data'.
I'm having the same problem, one day i was just trying to play on my modded 1.20 world and it gave me the same error screen. I didn't do anything before, though. it didn't crash or restart on me. maybe something bugged, because i streamed me playing before i got this error screen but the video didn't save (I have vods on) so I'm not sure what happened.
what am i meant to upload exactly for help? I don't have a backup save to my knowledge.
My game crashed and now I get constant corrupted data messages popping up all the time. There is a way to fix the problem on the PC troubleshooting page but no help for PS4 users, can anyone help me please?
Only option is to close application. My game keeps crashing at random times. Mostly on open worlds. Dojo, Plains of Eidolon and Cambion Drift. No one thing triggers it. I have lost so much in resources from these crashes. Sometimes it's only 3 times a day most often it's more, up to 8 times so far in one day. This happens while solo or in a group, on the same network and over the internet. I play with my son and his game doesn't crash. I also play with a buddy and he never crashes. I run a PS4 Pro updated.
Is there something wrong with my account? This is the only game that does this on my counsel. This does not happen to anyone ell's I play with. I Love playing this game but fear losing all progress between crashes. I tried to go to support site. states unavailable.
So I have a problem with constant corrupted data message appearing almost all the time I play the game. It doesn't stop me from playing the game, but it really gets irritating. It appeared after a double crash, the first one being normal and the other, after trying to rejoin the same mission.
All your save data is in the servers. Nothing you do on your console will affect your account progress. The only thing you could do to cause you to lose your save is ask DE to delete your account, get your account stolen and they dump your inventory before you can recover it (or you can't recover it for some reason), or you get yourself banned.
There are a number of threads I'm seeing pop up with people having their data corrupted and other users telling them it's a lost cause. This is NOT true. Occasionally your saves/storage devices do indeed get completely corrupted, but the majority of the time this is NOT the case. In this thread I'm going to explain exactly how to troubleshoot problems with your save data and/or storage devices.
PS3 Users: Due to the copy protection of the PS3 save, for the time being this thread will only apply to the Xbox 360 version. If you can somehow move your PS3 save, (maybe via cloud if you have PS+, which I don't.), then grab a program called Bruteforce and follow the same directions.
If you've already tried the previous troubleshooting several times, your data may indeed be corrupt. You might be able to rebuild it and save yourself the trouble of starting over from scratch though. The thing with WWE saves is that there are several parts to them, and if just ONE part is corrupt it won't load any of the other stuff. This is how you fix this problem:
I'm trying this method on my corrupt save for 2k16 on the 360. I posted about the issue a few days ago. I corrupted my save by accidentally hitting b making the game attempt to auto save while I was turning it off. My fault, but it was an accident. I had the same problem around 2 months ago while saving a custom belt I had created. I ended up losing about 35 or more CAWS and played catch up for the next month. This time, I will lose over TWICE that much so starting over again is not an option. If I end up losing it all, I won't be playing anymore as it would take me 2 months straight of all my free time to get back to where I was and then completely lose any new CAWS that I just created this year and don't have their info copied down like I do my regulars I bring back every year. I got a USB drive and downloaded Modio. I suppose I will try to modify the save data after moving it all over to my laptop. I just don't know if I need to move everything onto laptop or just the culprit save file? Would really like to talk to the OP if they are still around. My main post is under the 2k16 section under general. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions and I hope everyone has a great weekend.
I have ps3. I don't play games too much anymore, so I just picked this up used today on the cheap. However, I see the servers are down. From what it sounds like here, and on other threads I've been looking at, there is no way I can download any CAWs anymore. Is this true? You said ps3 saves are tied to your account, so I couldn't use somebody else's save and copy it to mine then? That's the consensus I'm getting but if somebody could just give me a simple "you're screwed" lol, I'd appreciate it. Like I said, I've been out of the video game loop haha.
This problem has RE-OCCURRED, (last experienced around the new year). Dirt-5 says "save data" has been corrupted, HOWEVER the game continues to crash even after save data has been cleared. ALSO the problem ONLY occurs when the PS4 is connected to the internet. If I take it off-line I can play career mode. BUT as soon as PS4 is reconnected to the internet Dirt-5 crashes!
I am writing a business application (in C#, .NET 4) that needs to be reliable. Data will be stored in files. Files will be modified (rewritten) regularly, thus I am afraid that something could go wrong (power loss, application gets killed, system freezes, ...) while saving data which would (I think) result in a corrupted file. I know that data which wasn't saved is lost, but I must not lose data which was already saved (because of corruption or ...).
At any one time you've always got at least one valid file, and you can tell which is the one to read just from the filename. This is assuming your file system treats rename and delete operations atomically, of course.
Alternatively, simply always write to a new file, including some sort of monotonically increasing counter - that way you'll never lose any data due to bad writes. The best approach depends on what you're writing though.
Another thing you can do to enforce security is to hashing: append an hash like a CRC32 or MD5 at the end of the file. When you open it you check the CRC or MD5, if they don't match the file is corrupted. This will also enforce you from people that accidentally or by purpose try to modify your file with another program. This will also give you a way to know if hard drive or usb disk got corrupted.
I have dementium 2 and when I use desmume 098, it displays error save data corrupted, deleting data, press any button to continue.I press a button and it comes back with the same screen. How can I fix this?
First of all I just want to say that we are very sad to see that so many are getting their save files corrupted. This is a huge bummer and know that we are doing our best to prevent this from happening.
Note: This is a re-post of my reply in the Corrupted Save File topic. This new topic was created so that my message with instructions would be shown on top rather than at the bottom of a lengthy thread of replies.
Unfortunately, I feel obliged to inform you that we are unlikely to be able to restore save files that already have been corrupted and sending them back to you fixed. However, what we can hopefully achieve (with the help from your corrupted saves) is a fix for this issue and preventing the save corruption from occurring in the first place, or at least greatly reduce how frequently it occurs.
TIP:
As we have yet to commit a fix for this, IF you are concerned about getting your save file corrupted I recommend backing up your save manually on a regular basis, e.g. at the start or start+end of each play session copying your save file and putting it in dated folders and keeping a couple of those around at all time. That way, in case save corruption occurs at least you can backtrack to one of your backup saves from earlier.
