ROPOSED PLAN OF ACTION TO TAKE DOWN THE CRIME AGAINST WOMEN TO ZERO

Dear all,

 

 

In last 8 days Delhi and entire India is united to demand justice for the “gang raped” victim Damini and demand is “Capital Punishment” for the rapist/culprits! And shouts and slogans at India gate are ….Phnasi do…Phansi do…..we want justice…..gentlemen respect women….my voice is higher than rapist…….we want safety …..No talk we want commitment…….and many more! This all is a boost , energy  and angerness of common people for cause and indeed is required, but important here is this type of movement may not be possible for everyday and for every victim of rape, even capital punishment will come , but is not possible to make such crimes at a minimum or ZERO level, in last three four days some of the members of SANJHA SAMVAD has taken some initiatives gone through the various such cases of rape and based on the details able to come out with a proposal- feasible and sustainable proposal for the Indian government to scale down crime against women to a minimum or zero level. Please final attached draft proposed plan. Kindly go through it and if any suggestion feel free to for sharing it.

 

 

Through the network the document we would be sharing with the home ministry, and various state govts. as a proposed plan.

 

Let’s take a step where women would be considered as Human!

Let’s bring change for no more DAMINI’s!

We should move with this proposed plan, not sure that it will bring crime  with women at zero level, but may be scale down (provided if adopted)

Nice recommendations but making laws is not the only solution for these henious crimes. and this is not only the responsibilities of police and government to protect people but ours also. many time it is seen if somebody teases a girl people around her just neglect her passing a smile or showing toothless expression. this all is happening because of us and with us the biggest reason is we are getting more and more self centered that we even do not care about these big incident only because she is not from his family. people enjoy suffering of girl: SORRY to say but we are no more human now. 

and we if really want to bring change first we should bring change in our mentality and in our inner soul. Be a real man to protect the respect of women and women should also take strong stand about these heinous disgusting act and teach eve teasers lesson the same time they try to misbehave.

         i think the safety and administrative prevention are two things. this is happened not against the administrative failure but against the brutality of the incidence. the law and reforms are essential but it is not the solution.  social groups  and the policing of the lower administration within the frame of democratic norms can change the uprising of the crime in the new generation of the  social structure. we can make a draft and proposal for change.

with a quick action based promotion of the proposed plan by sanjha samvad on various social media , govt has also developed a plan and taken action similar to what we have proposed.  below are the top stories of Times of India -25 dec 2012 edition which exactly shown the plan which from our group has proposed. When the plan came , i have gone through it and thought its workable , although a much more mulching of this plan is needed, but i surprised when in the morning i read the point of action taken by the government of Delhi, govt. of UP & MP on the plan proposed by sanjha samvad network. it really dig out the concept that even small or big immidiate course of action is important. thank to the team members to jort down the cases  and come out with the action plan a more of gender inclusive and from safety concern.

New helpline number for women,181,to be made operational before December 31 
Spl commissioner Sudhir Yadav appointed nodal officer for complaints regarding non-action on complaints of harassment against women.(email: splcptraffic @gmail.com;Ph: 9818099012) Yadav to meet women rights groups and activists on last Friday of every month LG to hold quarterly reviews of action on complaints and measures to enhance safety All authorized drivers of public service vehicles,autos,buses and taxis to have photo IDs on badges.IDs to be allotted only after police verification 
Police stations to register complaints regarding harassment of women without delay 
Special force of women volunteers to assist in nabbing culprits.Will also monitor working of women helplines
