Buescher State update

Yatahey Adventure Guides,

I just came back to Austin from Buescher, and I'm glad I did!  Three updates:

1) New directions: take I-10 W to TX-71 W (like before); exit for FM 135, turn right.  The entrance to the park is on the left.  If you use googlemaps to get to the park, it will give you bad directions; on googlemaps, the park itself is in the wrong place.  I was also informed that most GPS units will give you bad directions, taking you the KLBJ route, so be careful.

2) The Cozy Circle sites were inadequate, so we are now at the walk-in sites between Cozy Circle and Lakeview.  Sites 61-65 are for Firebirds/Chickasaw; sites 57-60 are for Foxes/Explorer.  The Lakeview restrooms are closest and can be reached from a stepped path by site 64.  Sites 57-60 have water, 61-65 are not.

3) There's a burn ban, as in burning for purposes other than cooking is not allowed.
