I followed all Apple and HP instructions on trouble shooting. I reset the printer, deleted all printers. reinstalled HP driver that recommended from an official HP website but I still have no printer appear for me to add (+) to my printer system preferences. I tried connecting my printer (only USB) to my friend 's pc and it was woking but not with mine. Could you please help me reinstalling my printer???

" I think the USB is still ok as it was working when I paired my printer to my friends' pc, but when it connected to mine. There is a message appears, "The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer." ignore or eject. So far I still cannot add my printer back."

After I downloaded and installed the HP driver. ( I reset/deleted the printer before reinstalling.) There's still no printer appears for me to add in the printer System Preferences. I think the USB is still ok as it was working when I paired my printer to my friends' pc, but when it connected to mine. There is a message appears, "The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer." ignore or eject. So far I still cannot add my printer back.

Ps. This problem has happened for a long time, but some times, I had the printer back on by restarting either my mac or printer or both for many times. But seems like this method won't give me any luck any more.

There were no printer appears for me to add to my mac after all my attempts. (while my friends could add my printer to their PCs.. I thinkmy printer is not broken but there might be some issues on pairing the printer with my mac.

I tried running the HP printer scan and diagnostic tool. It will find the printer and then tell me the proper software drivers aren't installed. It shows a download link for the proper software, but when I follow that, I get a page not found error on the HP site.

I can't use my old printer with a new MacBook Pro (Mac OS Monterey version 12.2.1), because neither Hewlett Packard nor Apple has a driver for my printer. HP Printer Drivers 5.1 is not compatible with macOS v12 and newer.

Have you also tried the Apple download at HP 5.1.1 Printer Software Update? It should be noted that the System Requirements for the HP 5.1.1 Printer Software Update from Apple say Not compatible with macOS v12 and newer, but at least one report (about an HP LaserJet P1005) mentioned successful use with macOS 12.1. So, something like the HP LaserJet Professional M1130 MFP Series driver (version 1.8) could perhaps be worth a try anyway. However, it may not work/install at all. Look upon this as an experiment only. Make sure that you have backup copies of all important files (documents, photos, et cetera) before testing anything.

Hello, i have a problem with a scan on my printer, it says that i need to install some extra drivers. I can print with mic word though but i cant scan at all, please helphave a troubleneed some drivers

Good Day. A warm welcome to the HP community. I reviewed the case regarding issues with printer drivers and not able to scan from your Windows 10 computer. Superb description, brilliant troubleshooting and terrific observations made before posting. Kudos to you for that.

Then download the latest full feature driver from -en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-laserjet-pro-m1132-multifunction-print... and install it on the computer after selecting the correct operating system.

Perform all these steps patiently as it is critical to resolving the issue. Good luck to you. I will keep a watch for your response. Please remember that we are not overloading you with a lot of troubleshooting steps. Instead, we are as eager as you are to get the situation corrected.

I have a hp Laserjet M1132 MFP printer which is working fine with windows 7 laptop. i got a second laptop with windows 10 home edition version 1803. i am trying to install driver for printer in windows 10 and downloaded latest driver from hp website. when i double click the exe file its start extracting and when its 100% its just disappeared and no installation begin.

thanks for reply. i disable windows defender antivirus and firewall but its same still after extraction no installation begins. i have downloaded latest driver from hp site LJM1130_M1210_MFP_full _solution but still problem remain same.

I hope someone can help. I have a similar problem in that my Laserjet M1132 have problems installing on Windows 10 after it worked with windows 7. I did the full download and it does not go beyond extraction then dissapears. I tried the %temp% folder as per previous solution and it seems to start installing and then keeps installing for more than an hour so I stopped it. Any help will be apreciated.

Step 1.
Perform a power drain on the Printer and check to see if services are disabled (Dirty Power up)

While the Printer is On, unplug the power cable from the back of the Printer
Wait for 30 seconds and then plug the power cable back into the Printer

Setting the Function Discovery Provider Host and the Function Discovery Resource Publication services to Manual.
If these two services are set as Disabled then the install will fail with a Red X in a Network environment after the initial scan find the printer.

These two services just need to be set to manual not automatic or running to get the install to work without giving a Red X.
Try installing the printer again if the services were disabled

Step 2. Repair the MSI file

Try to repair the MSI file depending on the OS Architecture
Restart the PC and try connecting the Printer

During installation, if the progress bar stalls for a while during device setup, then go to task manager > Process and check for the number of instances of HP Network Communicator service. If there are multiple entries , then end Process? for all the instances and re-try running the installation.

Step 4. Uninstall and Reinstall the SW
Uninstall the SW completely from uninstall programs
Incase if you are not able to uninstall the Printer SW, please click on the link below and use Microsoft Fix it to remove the SW (Note: MS Fixit is not supported in Windows 10)
-us/mats/program_install_and_uninstall/en-us
Restart the PC
Try installing the complete SW

I was trying to connect and setup HP LaserJet M1132 MFP printer to Macbook Pro with macOS Big Sur 11.5.1 and couldn't find a right driver. Could anyone help me to see if there is any suitable driver for this macOS? Badly need help!

I am struggling with installing drivers for HP LaserJet 1132 MFP on my HP Probook 4421s running on windows 7 Professional. System repeatedly returns "installation failed," then asks (1) to remove usb cable from printer, (2) turn printer off and then on, and (3) reconnect usb to printer. All attempts have failed so far. Help please.

Then install the software. You can download the drivers from this link. HP LaserJet Pro M1132 Multifunction Printer Drivers. Select your operating system, click next and click on the software to download and install.

I've been using HP LaserJet M1132 MFP (manufactured on February 28, 2011, serial # CNG9C2WGS5) for several years with my WindowsXP machine. Two days ago I wanted to connect this printer to my Toshiba Satellite 845WS Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit Service Pack 1laptop. The driver doesn't install on the Windows 7 machine neither from M1132 itself nor from the HP site. I checked - the printer still works fine with Windows XP machine.

The printer appeared as "CD Drive (D) HP Smart Install. I attempted to install the driver from this location several times. Every time, just like in the post by OmoAbode, the system repeatedly returned "installation failed," then asked (1) to remove usb cable from printer, (2) turn printer off and then on, and (3) reconnect usb to printer. I tried all these - the result is the same.

2. I manually deleted HP folders on the hard drive, checked the program uninstall to make sure there is no any HP programs left behind. I did install HP installer etc, which I then uninstalled. Ran DiskCleanup. Rebooted the laptop. Turned the printer off (there are no USBs or anything else connected to M1132, just my laptop). Then I disconnected the printer's USB cable from laptop.
