Seminar at the Temperance Hall in Kinsale on the 18th of October from 7-10 pm. The topics will include: biodiversity of our location, safety, parking, review of the waters/weeds/rocks at different tide and surface conditions, different kinds of swimming experiences (from dips to a lap to marathons) and how to increase your personal best speeds and distances - summer and winter.

This is a 3 hour seminar meant to give you a broad yet detailed description of the various Sandycove Island swimming experiences.

It is aimed more at those who dip and do 1 lap - as opposed to distance swimmers.

Advance registration will include a fee of 5 Euro - the total registration fees will be matched by the Sandycove Island Swimming Club and donated to the RNLI. The fee is mostly to make sure that 200 don't show up - we have 75 chairs.

Children of 12 and above might well be interested.

To ease registration you can register your family/swimming mates as one group.
