Sandy Relief Volunteer Opportunities, Beginning Saturday 12/1/12

Four weeks after Hurricane Sandy, thousands of people in the Rockaways, Long Island and Brooklyn still lack power, heat/hot water - and more. 

And it's now getting COLD.

We need to learn who these people are. Great need for volunteers to work conduct door-to-door canvassing, as well as with home "muck outs" (SAFELY) and collection/distribution of donations. Please see the relief efforts happening this weekend.

Sandy Relief Google Group's a home demolition/cleaning event, preceded by breakfast! (Please make sure you have minimum of N95 resp. masks, heavy gloves and goggles for safety.)

Global DIRT is spearheading a canvassing effort for the Rockaways area to identify critical needs for Non-Profits and City/State/Federal Agencies. 

Meet the residents, with a large group of volunteers. Find out their needs and get them help now!
