Hi Minda and Ray, (if no time, please read bold)

Please put our team of 47 students (with enough gloves, N95 masks, safety glasses to go around) on the list for expected volunteers for Saturday, Nov 16. We will be there. Our goal is to keep our team as close together as possible so that we don't lose any students. 

Our team can help people move things from their home -cleaning out debris, heavy lifting-- some of us can help with sorting items. We all really want to do the heavy lifting. We also have tools like hammers, saws, bleach, buckets, brooms, etc. '

Please provide us with the address of where to meet you in Far Rockaways. We will arrive by 9:45AM.

Yes- Saturday, Nov 17- 9:45 to 4:30PM! 

yes, 47! and we even have a WAIT LIST of 20+ students! we are staying at the nuestros ninos pre-school on S4th Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. We will be arriving on Friday night at 11PM and showing up at the work site at 9:45AM (bus driver needs at least 9 hours of rest in between...)

we will work on the 10 bungalows and whatever else needs to be done. we have 5 sub-team leaders. all of us can do heavy lifting and all of us have TdaP (tetanus shots). today, I spoke with american red cross, cornell environmental health & safety, cornell city regional planning/flood relief folks, united way, the tompkins county health dept to get information on mold, toxic waste management, disaster relief safety-- I am preparing a powerpoint to be shared with our students re: disaster relief waste management. I will send it your way once I am done.

Yes! we have 240 -- N95 respirator masks, 47 safety glasses, etc...

Do we look for Ray when we arrive at the cross section of Beach 91st Street/Rockaway Parkwary?

We met with all our students tonight to go over being safe, looking for black mold, etc. Ray, I saw your note on Facebook. When you are suggesting we map it out, does this mean we can choose whichever projects and show up with our students? Will there be someone there to tell us what needs to be done?

We are ALL SO PUMPED!!!
