Location: Remote (USA or Canada)

 MUST HAVE / Primary skill:  AspenTech IP.21

Key Responsibilities

• Implementation & Configuration: Lead the installation, configuration, and scaling of IP.21 servers across multiple sites.
• Data Integration: Configure and manage interfaces (OPC, ODBC, RDBMS) to pull data from various DCS/PLC systems into the IP.21 historian.
• System Maintenance: Perform routine health checks, database tuning, and upgrades/patches for the IP.21 suite.
• Visualization & Analytics: Develop and support user-facing tools such as Aspen Process Explorer (APE), Aspen Production Record Manager (APRM), and SQLplus queries.
• Enterprise Support: Provide high-level troubleshooting for data connectivity issues and collaborate with stakeholders to define data architecture standards.

Required Technical Skills

• Core Platform: Deep expertise in AspenTech InfoPlus.21 (v12+ preferred).
• Scripting/Querying: Proficiency in SQLplus, Fortran, or VBScript for custom calculation engine development.
• Connectivity: Strong understanding of OPC DA/UA, Modbus, and interface troubleshooting.
• Infrastructure: Familiarity with Windows Server environments, SQL Server, and virtualization (VMware/Azure/AWS).

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on experience specifically with AspenTech IP.21.
• Background in Chemical, Petroleum, or Manufacturing Engineering (or Computer Science with heavy industrial experience).
• Proven ability to manage \"Enterprise-wide\" rollouts rather than just single-site maintenance.
