Job Description

has a need for a Techno/Functional SAP / APO resource.
The ideal resource would have SAP APO/SAP ECC experience which would includes the following:
• Demand Planning
• Distribution Requirements Planning
• Rough Cut Capacity Planning
• Capable To Match
• Supply Network Planning
• Inventory Segmentation
• SAP ECC Master Data required for APO
• Understanding of CIF
• Ability to change SAP configuration in support of the above modules.

Below is a detailed summary from a call with the director.
APO Extension for Fixtures
APO currently forecasts products only
Clint wants to extend APO planning to include fixtures
Prior discovery and design completed
Some prototyping already done
Consultant will help finalize configuration and execution
Fixtures System Migration
Ongoing initiative to replace legacy, homegrown fixture manufacturing systems
Migration to a standard SAP solution
Impacts APO, purchasing, and requisition flows
Consultant will help:
Coordinate testing
Validate integrations
Support execution alongside a separate PM
SIF / CIF Integration Challenges
Issues with data synchronization between ECC and APO, particularly sales orders
Need stronger functional understanding of SIF/CIF to:
Reduce discrepancies
Improve automation
Stabilize data movement
Additional ad‑hoc APO questions from business partners are expected once the consultant is engaged.
Engagement Details
Initial term: 3 months
Expectation: Likely extension
Scope is not yet fully bounded
Consultant will help estimate effort once onboarded
Work location: 100% remote

Client’s SAP APO environment supports demand forecasting and manufacturing signals downstream from Blue Yonder.
A long‑tenured SAP APO expert retired several years ago.
The team has been operating with distributed knowledge across multiple internal resources, which is no longer sufficient.
New business requirements and system changes now require:
Deeper functional APO expertise
Hands‑on configuration capability
Someone who can partner with existing technical (ABAP) resources
client has re‑engaged a former employee as a SME advisor, but that resource will not be hands‑on. They need a functional consultant who can execute.
