Position
Summary:
The
D365 Finance IT Manager will play a critical role in both the implementation and ongoing
management of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
(D365 F&O) system. Initially, this role will support the transition from
Microsoft Great Plains to D365 F&O, working closely with internal teams and
external consultants. Post-implementation, the manager will take full ownership
of the system, ensuring it runs smoothly, evolves with business needs, and
continues to deliver value.
This
is a contract-to-hire opportunity for a strategic and hands-on
leader who can bridge technology and business operations.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the implementation of D365 Finance,
ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.
- Manage the legacy Great Plains environment during the
transition period.
- Serve as the primary owner of D365 Finance
post-implementation, overseeing system performance, updates, and user
support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather
requirements, design solutions, and support integrations.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and
ensure business continuity.
- Develop and maintain documentation for system
processes, user guides, and best practices.
- Lead projects related to system upgrades, enhancements,
and new module rollouts.
- Provide training and support to end-users to maximize
adoption and effectiveness.
- Generate reports and performance metrics to inform
stakeholders and drive continuous improvement.
- Act as a liaison between IT, Finance, and business
leadership to ensure system alignment with evolving business needs.
Required
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Finance,
or a related field.
- Proven experience managing ERP systems (D365 F&O
preferred, but comparable systems acceptable).
- Strong understanding of finance and accounting
principles and processes.
- Experience leading ERP implementations and managing
post-go-live operations.
- Excellent problem-solving and project management
skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a
focus on collaboration and team development.
- Ability to travel monthly to client locations in Texas
and Louisiana.
