Job Description: Senior IT Business Analyst
Essential Experience and Skills Required for
Success in This Role:
- Experience
with acquisitions, mergers, or divestitures, including conducting due diligence tasks, impact
assessments, and analysis related to technology landscapes.
- Technical
Data Compilation & Documentation (e.g., platform requirements)
- Workgroup
Coordination (e.g., scheduling and
facilitation of workgroups)
- Vendor
Management (e.g., setting up demos,
score cards and defining stakeholders)
- Stakeholder
Engagement & Communication
(e.g., meeting minutes)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and
facilitate complex business analysis initiatives, collaborating closely
with senior IT leadership to define strategic objectives and translate
them into actionable technology integration or decoupling plans. Have
- Drive
technology workstream activities, encompassing the full lifecycle from
initial assessment and planning through execution and
post-integration/separation support. This requires proven experience in
navigating the complexities of integrating or separating disparate
systems, applications, data, and infrastructure.
- Proactively
identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, working
independently to develop mitigation strategies and ensure timely
resolution. This role demands a self-starting individual who takes
ownership and provides continuous, clear updates on work progress to
stakeholders -- at all levels.
- Develop
and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements,
process flows, gap analyses, and project status reports, to ensure
alignment between business needs and solutions throughout technology
transitions. Requires meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to
transparent communication.
- Champion
best practices in business analysis and project management, demonstrating
an ability to work autonomously while fostering a collaborative
environment and ensuring consistent follow-up on action items and
deliverables.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s
degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or another
IT-related field is preferred.
- A solid
understanding of IT systems, methodologies, and emerging technologies is
essential.
- Proven
expertise in supporting ongoing IT Infrastructure & Operations
transformation initiatives, enhancing product and service performance,
efficiency, and scalability.
- Experience
interpreting data, understanding system interdependencies, and using
critical thinking to solve problems efficiently.
- Excel in
driving a systematic approach to requirements gathering and process
modeling.
- Certifications
such as PMP, Agile, Product Management, and ITIL/ITSM are highly
desirable.
- Proactive
in identifying problems, determining options to address issues,
identifying pros and cons of potential options, and recommending potential
solutions.
- Exceptional
communication and stakeholder management abilities, with experience in
aligning all stakeholders.
- Must be
proficient with Microsoft Office 365, e.g., SharePoint, OneNote, and
Teams.
- Knowledge
of project management applications such as Smartsheet, Jira, Trello, etc.
is preferred.
- Experience
with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies
