Undead Slayer is a free action game for mobile developed by NHN Entertainment. It is a hack-and-slash RPG that is set in ancient China and employs a martial arts theme. In it, players take control of a wandering warrior who travels across the continent, battling hordes of the undead.
Undead Slayer is a 3D action game that is set in ancient China. It is basically The Romance of the Three Kingdoms with a zombie twist to it. It is set during the warring period wherein the land has been overrun by the undead. You play as a wandering warrior that is tasked with traversing the land and cleansing it of the hordes of monsters that plagues it.
When I first started playing 2e Dungeons and Dragons one of my favorite kits was in the Complete Elven book, the undead slayer. I thought it would be fun to create this as an archetype for 5e. I really love the kit approach of 5e.
If you have not chosen undead as a favored enemy at level one, it is now a bonus favored enemy. You gain all benefits stated in the rules (PHB, pg 91). You have also studied a specific type of undead (IE- zombies, skeletons, wrights, lich, etc.) to gain Advantage against all attack rolls against them. At level 7 and 15 you chose another specific undead and gain the same benefit.
Battle Hardened- When fighting against one of your specific undead types you gain +2 to your AC. If the creature hits you with an attack your AC is increased to +4 against all subsequent attacks made by that undead for the rest of the turn.
At 11th level your studies of your specific undead enemies have allowed you to learn their weaknesses. You are able to create a powder (roughly 100 gp in reagents) that can affect the undead. Choose which powder you are creating: Mental or physical. If the mental powder is thrown on the undead it must succeed on a Wisdom save or suffer Disadvantage on all mental rolls (including spells and special abilities- if applicable). If the physical powder is thrown on the undead it must succeed on a Constitution save or suffer Disadvantage on all physical rolls (including attack and special abilities- if applicable). This lasts until the creature takes a short rest.
At level 15 your studies and confrontations with the undead have bolstered your strength and resolve. You gain Advantage to all saves against special attacks or supernatural abilities by any undead, but not actual spells.
The Undead Slayer is a role that appears in SLASH'EM, SlashTHEM and Hack'EM. They are, as the name suggests, melee fighters that specialize in the harm or destruction of the undead. They can be any of the alignments, but they may not be dwarven or vampiric in SLASH'EM; Hack'EM allows these races to be Undead Slayers.
Undead Slayers are specialists, trained to hunt the undead as well as other incarnations of evil. They are well aware of the weaknesses of their foes and come prepared. Few denizens of darkness ever encounter such warriors of light and live to tell of it.
An Undead Slayer will start with an inordinate amount of intrinsic properties, including drain resistance and undead warning. In addition to that, they gain speed at level 7 and poison resistance at level 9.
The wooden stake may also be poisoned. Elven undead slayers will receive an elven leather helm instead of a helmet, and orcish undead slayers will receive an orcish helm and orcish chain mail instead of a helmet and chain mail.
An alternate reality based on ancient China opens with a dire situation. A last line of surviving humans fight tooth and nail to hold of hordes of the undead. The King of this teetering kingdom instructs you to strike out as a lone-wolf in a last ditch effort of resistance when the army of the living begins to fail. Even gods who enter the fray of this reality refuse to fight against the zombie armies, but they do understand the plight of man and, therefore, offer training and skill-sets to help you on your way.
Gold is rewarded at the end of every battle, whether you are successful or not. It is not the most valuable item in the game, but it is required to learn most new skills. The lowest level skills are dynamic, but they do less damage. These skills become necessary as the number and size of the undead increase exponentially within the game. Once you find them running towards you from all sides, then having a magic spell to infuse your sword, ax, or spear with fire (or other elements) is essential.
The members of the undead each show health bars, and their abilities vary. Large muscle-bound zombies carry huge weapons and can even cast tornado spells, while others appear as archers that continue to fire arrows when they are off screen. These well-rounded opponents (just wait until the zombie-wolves and zombie-dinosaurs show up) force you to be strategic in attacks. At times, players will have to retreat or run until a secure attack point can be identified. If players stay still, then they will die very quickly.

The Undead Slayer is a role specific to SLASH'EM. They are, as the name suggests, melee fighters that specialize in the harm or destruction of the undead. They can be any of the alignments, but they may not be Dwarven or Vampiric.
The Undead Slayer is not a powerful role, in spite of its high starting HP. It can only reach strong weapon proficiency in dagger, though this is offset somewhat by the fact that wooden stakes are slightly more powerful daggers. The Undead Slayer is also weakened by its lack of a guaranteed sacrifice gift; most SLASH'EM roles have sacrifice gifts assigned to them, often providing a useful object early on. Furthermore, unlike some other fighting classes such as knight and valkyrie, the Undead Slayer will never attain any particular proficiency with magic. Worst of all, however, undead slayers start off slow: they have a base speed of 10, meaning, like yeomen, they move 4 times every 5 turns. Their early game is therefore quite difficult, as monsters will unexpectedly get an extra hit in quite often. They do gain speed at XP 7, which mostly negates this disadvantage, although they will still not be as fast as another role with speed.
