The Sandstorm community is now on Zulip for chat

(I would not normally post on this old mailing list, but in the spirit of collecting people we may have missed, I am echoing this message here. Please consider joining our new mailing lists: https://groups.io/g/sandstorm-user-group https://groups.io/g/sandstorm-dev-group)

We have moved to Zulip for chat: https://sandstorm.zulipchat.com/ It doesn't require a special app, though one is available. You can even see our discussions at this link without signing up.

Some of you may be on our Matrix or even IRC. Some of you may have tried to join our Matrix and found that it didn't work. That was a problem we tried to resolve with them to no avail. Some of you may have missed that IRC was retired some time ago. In any case we're sorry if we missed you. At this point we are retiring Matrix. We hope to regroup everybody on Zulip now, and we think it'll be a better option for collaboration.

I am the one who suggested checking out Zulip in the first place. I will acknowledge that the system of topics and channels is a bit awkward at first, but I think it has some great advantages over any of the alternatives. Zulip will not be replacing our (groups.io) mailing lists, it's just better for rapid and casual discussion. Feel free to continue asking questions there if that's what you prefer. We will also continue to make announcements there.
