I think I've seen this or something like it in the meeting notes. Can I
somehow add my Sandstorm-hosted instances to the mobile app? Or does the
mobile app only work with standalone servers for now?

Thanks.

See: https://github.com/RocketChat/Rocket.Chat/issues/1352

We submitted a PR to make their mobile app work with Sandstorm a long time ago, but they haven't yet actually pushed an update of their mobile app, I guess because they're in the process of rewriting it as a native app. David has been looking at updating the newly-rewritten apps.

Just FYI: it is working now, tested on Android by Kenton (as he wrote on github) and I'm able to use it now on iOS.

Just to close the loop here on a response I already gave on IRC: The unfortunate problem is that Rocket.Chat's API (and mobile app) has moved forward since 2017, but unfortunately, the Sandstorm package has not. (Presumably, if you had a copy of the mobile app from 2017, it might work though!) There were a couple attempts to get it up to date, but nobody ever moved it to publishing an actual new release. We currently have some issues packaging Meteor apps as well, so unfortunately, I'm not sure I expect us to tackle that one particularly soon either.
