Many older Dungeons & Dragons-licensed games have been released in the last few years on digital distribution, not the least of which are the Baldur's Gate games as well as the "Gold Box" SSI games. Wizards of the Coast have announced that some of the more niche games are now available for the first time digitally on Good Old Games.

The full version of Baldur's Gate 3 will include all the character creation options not available in the Early Access version.
The BG3 Goodie Pack includes 24 exclusive emojis and stickers by Junha Kim. Kim, more popularly known as Orkonology on Twitter, is a Dungeons & Dragons fan and artist. Plus, the Korean artist draws a fan-made comic simply titled "Drow" (a humorous take on the familiar dark elf race popularized by the D&D settings like the Forgotten Realms and Greyhawk).

Warcraft: Orcs & Humans (also known as Warcraft I; sometimes abbreviated as O&H) is a real-time strategy game (RTS) and the first video game in the Warcraft series developed by Blizzard Entertainment. The MS-DOS version was released on 15 November 1994 and quickly became a best seller.[2] The game features two races, the humans of the Kingdom of Azeroth and the invading orcs of the Orcish Horde. The game sold 100,000 copies in its first year, making it Blizzard's best selling title at its time of release.[3] It was ported to Mac in early 1996 by Future Tense. The game is currently out of print and the demo that was once available on Blizzard's website is no more; although the demo can still be downloaded from available third parties such as the Internet Archive.[4]

On March 26, 2009, GOG.com announced it had signed a deal with Ubisoft to publish games from their back catalogue; this was the first deal with a major publisher to offer DRM-free downloads. The deal to publish through GOG.com also included games that were not available through any other online distribution channel. On September 5, 2014, GOG.com started to sell Amiga games from Cinemaware's catalogue, starting with Defender of the Crown.[59] This was technically made possible through Cinemaware's own written emulator called "Rocklobster".[60] On October 28, 2014, GOG.com was able to secure another major publisher as a DRM-free partner, Disney Interactive / LucasArts. With this new partnership, GOG.com began to re-release several often-requested game titles from LucasArts,[61][62] starting with six titles (Star Wars: X-Wing, Star Wars: TIE Fighter, Sam & Max Hit the Road, The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic).[63] On May 5, 2015, GOG.com released Pacific General and Fantasy General and named itself, GOG Ltd, as the publisher.[64] The company revealed that it had acquired the copyright to these titles and that it intends to acquire more in the future.[65] On August 26, 2015, Bethesda Softworks joined GOG.com with classical titles as id Software's Doom and Quake, Fallout (which had been sold on GOG by Interplay before the rights changed hands), and also some classic Elder Scrolls' titles.[66] GOG.com has more than 1,600 DRM-free games in its catalogue and new ones are added several times a week.[67]

The rest of the expansion integrates more fully into the main adventure. Objects like oils, new weapons, rings and armor, and runes drop amid other more common kinds of items, and the new spellbooks, including books for two previously existing spells that did not have books, and scrolls are found in the same kinds of places. New shrines are found where shrines would normally be found. The new unique monsters, which appear as palette-swaps of normal monsters with unique names, also integrate in the main Diablo quest. It should be noted, however, that there are almost no unique monsters found within Hellfire's exclusive dungeons. The Hellfire dungeons are populated with new enemies that do not appear in the main Diablo quest, however. The difficulty of Hellfire dungeon floors 1-8 are is comparable to that of levels 9-16 of the main Diablo quest, requiring experienced characters to explore.

Some of the newer convenience features include the option to move more quickly around town using the "jog" toggle found in the options menu, a spell that highlights objects lying on the floor as though the cursor was placed over them, and a spell that teleports the player to the nearest exit found on that level of the dungeon.
