Subject: Notable Government Documents of 2017
Hello Everyone,
Please help ALA's Government Documents Roundtable (GODORT) promote the uniqueness and importance of government information resources by nominating outstanding government publications to be featured in Library Journal's annual Notable Documents column. This is a great way to highlight the value of government information and to acknowledge the efforts of those who produce it. The list reaches a wide audience and is useful as a selection tool for libraries, as well as for general interest. Notable Documents for previous years are available at:
http://wikis.ala.org/godort/index.php/Notable_Documents_Bibliography#Notable_Documents_Bibliography
Each year GODORT's Notable Documents Panel selects an array of titles from among those suggested by the community. Items can be from any level of government--Federal, international, foreign, state, local--or material published for a government agency by a commercial publisher. All formats are fair game, including print, digital, books, maps, and CDs. If you know of a government information resource issued in 2015 that's worthy of national attention, please help spread the word about it. The brief nomination form is at
http://www.library.unt.edu/forms/godort-notable-document-nomination-form
The Deadline for nominations is January 8, 2018. If you have any questions about the process, please let me know.
Thanks for your help!
