Dear Friends-
We have not met as the process arts network of San Diego in many months.* Each of us continues to be quite busy with work projects in which we have been engaged, both here and beyond San Diego.
Nevertheless, there are some new opportunities that have come to the attention of the process arts group here in San Diego and we would like to ascertain what parts each of us might play in their operation.
Some of these groups--like the Educational Allies Group which are projecting large gatherings on 9/11/10 at SDSU and on 10/07/10, downtown San Diego, is not too familiar with the process arts, and may need more guidance and training than others like Non Violent Communication, which has been experiencing key forms of process arts like OsT.
One of these groups , that of the Stone Soup group which Sharon Kleisch and Linda Sechrist are bringing here on 9/07/10, will need both planning and execution aspects of our work.
The group related to Sandy Hierbacher's Dialogue and Deliberation organization seems like it would be looking for more experienced process arts expertise.

< Our intent should be to make clear to each other and to the groups outside, what our backgrounds are, what our time availabilities are, and where our interest lies in helping to facilitate large groups of people in accomplishing more from their work than has been possible through the traditional forms which their members have been used to relating within the past.>

Hi Raffi,
Thanks for putting the Doodle Poll together...I've posted my response.

Hi All,
Alannah and I have met at various libraries, and they've all been great.  You just need to have a library card to check out the space for two hours.  (Which I've got, so no worries there!)  We've met at the Point Loma library, and that's been a nice space...and it's also close to John's place.

It also sounds like this meeting may be going in a couple of different directions, so I'd love to just be clear on what our intention is for this upcoming gathering.    John, would you be willing to clarify/set the intent?

Thanks,
Jeannel

as for location, jeannel and alannah is there a particular community library you'd recommend?

also, would you all be ok with me inviting nicole? i have no idea of her availability, but she has been getting more into facilitation (she and i co-led the july nvc daylong practice gathering held in ost) and has contacted virginia, too.

thanks!

Dear John,

I am still stuck with knowledge only and looking for an opportunity to observe an actual World Café. I see there have been some at the university. If there are any World Cafes that an extra person (me) could attend to either observe or participate in, please let me know. I want to utilize World Café, but do not have the confidence from reading the book all by itself. I desperately want to view a Café for myself before I host one. I am a visual learner.

Thank you,

LaVonna Connelly

If we are opening up the invite list, then please include Ruth Mastron, who has expressed an interest in bringing the Art of Hosting to San Diego.
And if Anne's interested, then Liz Shear may be as well.  I just saw her yesterday and can e-mail her about this if you'd like.

Hi,
I just called the Pt. Loma Library and they are closed tonight and tomorrow (Monday)...so I'll be happy to call on Tuesday afternoon and make a reservation for Thusday from 1:00 -3:00pm.  (BTW, the Pt. Loma Library is open on Thurs. from 9:30-5:00pm, and the conference rooms are quite cool (air-conditioning) so you might want to dress in layers.)

Later my friends!
