Dear DeAnna-
thanks for reminding us of the upcoming publication of Peggy Holman's book, Engaging Emergence: Turning Upheaval into Opportunity which  features "Dynamic Facilitation."  I have read other materials by Peggy Holman and they are rich in their treatment of how we can best relate to each other.  I highly recommend her book to others.
Your friend, John.

Subject: [DF] Engaging Emergence is almost here...

Greetings DF’ers and Wisdom Council Enthusiasts,

I am forwarding a message to you from one of our colleagues, Peggy Holman, who’s new book “Engaging Emergence: Turning Upheaval into Opportunity” features Dynamic Facilitation.

Many of you may already be familiar with Peggy Holman. She is co-editor of the Change Handbook and a gifted facilitator of emergent processes. Our community is strengthened to have her among us!

Happy reading and responding to her requests...

Warmly,
DeAnna

Friends:
While I am not on the DF listserv, I keep my ears open for DF stories.  So I ask your indulgence in sending you the announcement of my upcoming book.  It contains a wonderful DF story from DeAnna Martin.  Here's an endorsement from Meg Wheatley:

“A dance manual for how to move gracefully with the disruption, uncertainty, and mystery that are part of life’s rhythms, how to welcome interruption and discontinuity as opportunities for creativity, community, and greater capacity.”
Margaret J. Wheatley, author of Leadership and the New Science

So with Meg, DeAnna, and other wonderful thought leaders and teachers at my back, here's the announcement:
Engaging Emergence: Turning Upheaval into Opportunity is almost here… I’m excited to share the news that my book will be published on September 13th!

As it makes its way to the major online booksellers, and other retailers across the country, I’d love your support by pre-ordering the book. Pre-orders tell the online booksellers that the book is generating buzz in the marketplace and that it will have broad appeal once available.  A strong pre-order campaign also influences how many copies the online stores will order and stock.

To get that buzz going, I’m asking everyone I know to help me get the book off to a fast start.  Please consider picking up a copy of the book, perhaps even ordering a second copy as a gift for a friend.  Or forward this message on to people you think would find the book of interest so that they can pre-order a copy for themselves.
I’m thrilled with how the book turned out.  Esthetically, it is beautiful.  And based on the feedback from many of you, people find the content useful and inspiring.  I look forward to your comments.

Engaging Emergence offers principles, practices, and real-world stories for bringing compassion, creativity, and wisdom to the entire arc of change—from disruption to coherence.  For more about the contents, visit http://www.engagingemergence.com <http://www.engagingemergence.com> .
You can even check out the text - http://peggyholman.com/PH-WordPress/papers/engaging-emergence/engaging-emergence-table-of-contents.  For DeAnna's story, see chapter 6, Step In: Practice Engaging.  The story follows the subhead "Reflect: Sense Patterns, Be a Mirror".
