We have had a very serious illness of one of our key people in the "Village Square Cafe" program we have had planned for 5:30 to 9:30 pm. in the Coronado Room at the Health Services Complex-Rosecrans. It is forcing us to change our plans and we will not be able to utilize your facility that evening. We are attempting to reach all of the people who have been invited to the event to let them know about this. However, some people may slip through our attempts to notify them. In this case , is it possible to put up a sign at the location which explains what has happened for anyone looking for our event at your location? Please advise. Thanks. John

Does this mean the event is cancelled? I have not been notified that the event is officially cancelled, and have invited people to come. Since I saw this email I started telling people its cancelled. Just want to be sure.

My only concern is that someone gets back to you on this soon... AND also, it
might be worth it for someone to actually greet the ones (in person) who did
not get the message - a sign on the door doesn't feel right, nor
professional. Is it possible for you or someone at the Health Bldg. on
Rosencrans to just be there for 15min. tonight?

Thank you for your response. However, I will not be available to greet those who are not reachable by the persons who invited them for the meeting that we had scheduled for tonight at the San Diego County Health Services Complex, 3851 Rosecrans St., S.D., CA 92110.
Perhaps, there is someone else in our friendship group that would be able to follow through on your suggestion. It does not seem appropriate to me to expect the person who works for the county to do that for us. However, they have been asked to let the person at the desk, as people come in the building, know that our meeting was cancelled. In trying to reach our contact by phone this morning I learned that Security was, already, aware that our meeting had been cancelled for tonight.
During that same time frame I, recently, have been asked to report to the Activist San Diego Board Meeting which I have learned is tonight. I, recently, represented them at the Southern CA Media Reform Conference in a presentation about their Campaign for a Radio Station in San Diego County. I had assisted them in February with their application to the Department of Commerce for a $214,000 Equipment Grant, putting together their Business plan related to securing matching funds for the grant, as well as monies to operate the station, when it gets up and running. I can't turn this over to someone else to do.

Yes, due to the illness of one of our principals,we are not going to be able to hold our Village Square event at the Health Services Complex tonight, Monday, 4/05/10 at 6 p.m. as planned.
