Whither The Grand Magic Shop? Part 2

What follows was accurate as of 5:45 pm on 1 June 2007.

Following up on my recent post that expressed concern about The Grand
Magic Shop, I am happy to say that the website is again functioning.
However, this past Wednesday and Thursday ( 30th and 31st May), the
shop was not open at the start start time posted on the website. I
work in Escondido on those days (at least for now), and in the past I
have stopped by the shop to talk with JP. However, I have not seen
the shop open on those days since the middle of May. (I will qualify
by saying that the week prior to Memorial Day I was out of town, so if
he was open I would not have known about it.)

On Fridays I work in Oceanside, and in the past I have driven to
Escondido to participate in Cruising Grand. However, because the shop
was closed the two days prior to Cruising Grand, and I have not seen
the shop open for several weeks I decided to call the shop on Friday
before I left Oceanside. JP has recently moved to a cell phone for
his shop, and when I called the shop phone, it immediately went into
voice mail. To make matters even more a cause for concern, the
voicemail box was full. This leads me to suspect that not only is JP
not opening the shop, he is not answering the shop phone, and has not
done so for quite some time.

I again express concern that the last magic shop in San Diego county
has closed its doors.
