I need to find a new assy supplier for prototype quantities and fast turn-around.  This would be for larger boards up to about 10x11" inches in size containing BGA, LGA, and QFN parts.  We need someone who can purchase the boards and the components and do full turn-key assy.

The supplier we previously used has recently delivered a yield rate of 1 operational board out of 7 ordered.  After giving them time to do some rework, things got worse, not better.

I would prefer a local supplier, but would consider others.  If you have any suggestions, I would be very grateful to hear them.

Just to give you options to consider, Advanced Circuits does assembly work -- and they can do full-turnkey kits for you.  So far, I've been reasonably happy with them, but my boards have been relatively simple, no BGA/LGA.  They are in Colorado, though.

Years ago, I worked at a company that had its production run done at Electronic Manufacturing Corporation, down near Irvine - IIRC, we were very happy with them.

I've used most of the CMs locally, and lately I've had very good results from Concisys for numerous builds. They are fast and high quality. Contact info is below.

I've used Artek Manufacturing and they do large boards with big FPGA's for local wireless companies. They also do re-balling of large BGA's. You might ask them to rework your existing boards.
