Hi there,

Both Windows and macOS support are stil a long ways off. There are several things that need to happen first:
- Refactor Sandbox2 to be more modular. I.e., factor out the Seccomp+BPF specific parts into a security module
- Implement a macOS security module for Sandbox2 (perhaps similar to what Chrome does: https://www.chromium.org/developers/design-documents/sandbox/osx-sandboxing-design)
- Implement a Windows security module. This one can maybe use AppContainers.
Along the way we need to make a few decisions on how platform-agnostic with respect to the exposed API we want to be. After all, these different sandboxing technologies all come with different trade-offs and features.

Hi Christian,

Thanks for your response. I was wondering sandboxing will be more useful for endpoint applications (macOS and Windows) rather than Linux which is predominately a sever OS.

However the above statement might be biased due to my decade long experience of developing endpoint applications.

Regards,
Birajendu
