Sandbox IdeaLaunch Leaders:
Let me get right to the point on the “to-do” mentioned in the subject line: Could you let me know by end of day today whether you can commit to spending at most one hour reviewing/reading a reasonably number of applications for our upcoming pitch contest? The material will reach you tomorrow mid-day, and the hard deadline will be Monday noon. The more of us who say yes, the fewer the number of applications we each have to read. (The deadline is so soon because we can much more effectively market the event to potential visitors when we know what the ideas are – and we only have 10 days or so to get the word out!).
You will spend 5-10 minutes on each idea (hopefully no more than six), grading them by a few criteria we will supply you with, and then you’ll tell us whether you think the idea would present well, and finally a few sentences on why you graded them as you did. A subset of our team will look over all these scores and comments Monday afternoon and come up with the final 7 presenters (we’re going to try a “wild card” presenter at this coming event, where we’ll select a person at random to follow the first seven and present on the spot).
This should be an interesting and fun aspect to the contest (remember, these are arts/crafts/consumer product ideas!) for you, and it will be a huge help in making sure we select the best ideas to present.
Thanks!
David
