All those interested in tuning the Footy's for the upcoming FFFIV
Saturday I will be out at the pond on Thursday afternoon 2:30-3:00 for
a couple hours of practice/tuning.
Hopefully a few can make it out so we can judge boat performance
etc....
See you at the pond

Turned out to be a very good Footy sailing day. Before a brief shower
or two arrived Bob B, Dick, DAve and myself had some good tuning time.
Playing with different rigs and adjustments it appears that all the
boats were sailing smoothly. After a shower or two passed by Dave and
myself continued on for several more races in some pretty good winds.
Dave estimated them to be 20-25 and man the Footy's were cranking.
Making a couple rig changes Dave and I were just trading laps, and I
say laps as in hot laps at a race track. We were both on rails and
accelerating off the marks like we had powerplants.......
The FFFIV regatta on Saturday should be pretty lively should we wncoun
ter similar winds........watch out as the Sharks will surely want to
feed by then!!!!

Merely reporting my observations over several years.
At first I noticed when I crowed something always went wrong and I ended up eating crow. Then I noticed it worked that way for most people.

No jealousy involved.

Enjoyed playing with my new radio yesterday and wondering how the heck I was able to sail with the old one after watching the rudder in operation on the bench. I was changing sails adjusting the rudder and still wondering why my boats (footy and soling) wouldn't go straight. The new radio moves the rudder  so smooth in helicopter mode.

Actually the helicopter mode has nothing to do with rudder
mode.........it is the throttle mode that isthe ticket....LOL
I don't know about the crowing that much either, just stating my
observations for the sailing that was taking place....totally
awesome!!
Okay maybe a little crowing, but if the weather holds and we have the
predicted 15-20mph westerly winds it's gonna be a fun day for some
Footy's but not all.
