This SUNDAY, is the end of summer work party we've been looking forward to. After a couple months of solarizing (black tarp over weeds), it's time to clear the land and start with some fresh new vegetable beds.

Zach Seiter, local neighborhood resident and owner of nearby SA Cycles will be push dirt with his Bobcat (compact tractor) and make swift work and saving us hours and days of work. That being said, we need many garden members to chip in some time to clear everything out of his way. Sounds easy, and it is, but we still need as many people as possible. If you've ever wondered where the veggie beds are, now is the time to bring them back. The garden needs you.

PLUS, as dusk sets in, we'll pat ourselves on the back with drinks and foods. Details on that to follow.

Hi Marc,
We have been taking care of some house remodeling projects we'd been neglecting for a while. Next weekend we're away at a music festival in Austin. If you'd like to take ownership of the mulch, we'll be happy to meet up one of these evenings. We leave Fri morn & return Monday, so within the next few days would be best.
We also still have a few plants that won't make it much longer if they don't get in the ground.

Take care,
Lexa

Lexa, we don't need the mulch for this Sunday, but the following week. Can I come by your place this evening to pick the remaining plants?

Hey guys, just a reminder about tomorrow. We can get a whole lot done and start growing food again by next week if we get a good crowd.

As for food and drinks, please bring something to share so we can take a break after a couple of hours. I'll bring water and plates, etc, and desert. As in past potlucks, we'll probably sneak in a little more work after getting some food in our bellies. Call me if you have questions 782-8028. -Marc
